About Transition Leicester

Transition Leicester is a growing network of local people that aims to inspire action to make Leicester a low-energy, resilient city that we’ll love to live in.

Our main focus is on developing practical local solutions to some of the big challenges that our community is facing today, such as climate change, the economic crisis and dwindling supplies of fossil fuel energy. Although this situation is challenging, we also see it as a great opportunity to plan for and create a positive and sustainable future for our city.

We organise projects, events and educational activities in and around Leicester, such as the Green Light festival, film showings and much more.

Transition Leicester is a grassroots initiative, harnessing the energy and inspiration of local volunteers to organise projects and events. There’s still much more that can be done, so if you’d like to get involved, then please get in touch!
